Today was a big day at Victory Primary school… I was on the cooking team with Jennifer and Ivan. We were a rockstar team. First we had to chop wood and make a fire. I was in charge of oiling the pot… which is the worst job ever. Now when we were at the house people all had said when it comes time to oil the pot, make yourself busy it’s the worst job. Did I do that.. NO. SO instead… I was rubbing oil on the pot, which is pretty much like greasing up for the week because there is nothing to wash it off with.

After you boil the water, you have to add the millet flour and stir until there are no more clumps. Then you pour the mixture into the hot pots, which is extremely hot.. and you burn your face. Then you add the milk. BUT some people are allergic to milk so you have to keep the pots separated... and the spoons. Ivan decided that since i know about allergies, that was my job. BUT then Jennifer used the wrong spoon and i quickly realized why i get sick in restaurants sometimes.. haha

After the food is all cooked, its time to serve the kids. WHICH is the most fun part. We have to put the porridge into cups. Today we made 147 cups to feed the kids at the school. We put all
the milk free porridge in the Red cups so that we would know. That was
my idea.. pretty much from experience at life of knowing what i can and can't eat.

I was able to try some porridge again. We put in a lot of sugar this time so it was pretty good. We got props for having the porridge ready to go SO fast! It was awesome! :)

After the kids eat, we play games with them. Watching Ivan with the kids is my favorite because he has so much energy and the kids LOVE him! He makes me smile so much when he plays with the kids! AND the kids love him. Here he is pretending to be a duck and is bouncing around quacking and moving his arms like wings. It was hilarious.

All in all it was a great day at Victory Primary School.. It is so much fun to see Gloria and Tracy. This weekend we are going shopping and out to lunch so that will be a LOT of fun!
