BUSY DAY

Today was a crazy busy day. We got up, ate a very fast breakfast, and were out the door. First we went to Victory Primary school. We did a feeding program there. I helped build a fire, and then cooked porridge over an open fire. It was crazy. Porridge consists of wheat flour, water, sugar, and sometimes milk. Yep.. thats it. AND this is where most of their "nutrition" comes from. They were SO excited that we were there. They came flying out of their classrooms, but were quickly sent back. We fed them, then stayed to sing songs, and play games. These kids sing and dance their hearts out. It was awesome to see them.
This one little boy who i loved. I thought he was a she... because they mostly have shaved heads and he had on pink pants. OOPS. Well, Iasiah was SO cute! I loved him, he was probably 2 but looked much younger.
We sang and played games with them. It was a lot of fun. Next we came back ate lunch and went to the secondary school. It wasn't as much fun for me as being at the primary school, which is no surprise.
When we were finished at the secondary school, we went to a place called Kids in Need. It is a home for children who are on the streets. They are brought there. It was SO much fun. It was sad to see them and know that they were there because they're family couldn't or didn't take care of them. They were awesome. We sang more and played games. They were SO excited that we were there. It was mostly boys and all ages ranging from 2 or 3 to 14-15. They loved to play the games with us and they loved to sing. They were a lot of fun. The water game ended up with water all over everywhere which they made into a make-shift slip and slide. It was awesome. We had a lot of fun playing with them. They loved the camera. A lot of them had not seen what they look like because there are no mirrors.



This is a group of kids who turned up when my camera came out. They were SO funny. I had a lot of fun hanging out with them. They were just so smiley and happy. It is amazing because their living conditions in my opinion are awful but they are still so happy. The people here are truly amazing.
